Festas dos Santos Populares

To mark the reopening of our London Bridge restaurant, Bar Douro is bringing the spirit of Portugal to the heart of the city with a month‑long celebration of Festas dos Santos Populares, Portugal’s iconic summer street festivals.
Join us on the terrace every Sunday in June for vibrant gatherings inspired by the traditions of Santo António, São João and São Pedro, saints honoured across Portugal with music, food and joyful community spirit.
Expect the irresistible aroma of grilled sardines, smoky peppers, and freshly baked broa (corn bread). Cold Super Bock and crisp Vinho Verde will be flowing all day. From 2–4pm, enjoy live performances of traditional Portuguese music in a warm, festive atmosphere that captures the true essence of Portugal.

We kick things off on Sunday 1 June with a special live set from João Menezes, acclaimed Portuguese singer and guitarist.
