Herdade De Lisboa

Herdade da Lisboa is located in the heart of Alentejo’s Vidigueira sub-region, between the rivers Selminhos and Freixo, on predominantly schistous soil. The estate’s Paço dos Infantes label was a classic among Alentejo wines in the 1980s and 1990s, forging the reputation of João Portugal Ramos, the acclaimed Alentejo winemaker and consultant, who left to concentrate on his eponymous label.

In 2011, Herdade do Lisboa was acquired by João Cardoso. The estate is enjoying an exciting renaissance following the Cardoso family’s major investment in the vineyards (which total 100ha), a new winery and crack team of winemakers.
